Malaysian, Roti Bakar, Pork-Free
I was in the Kota Damansara area, and so desired to try an eatery that I’ve not tried before. I googled for kopitiam and Jia Kopitiam Kota Damansara was in the top results, with a 4.1 rating. So I wazed myself there. It was not easy to find parking, but I eventually did. It was a 600m – 800m walk according to Google Maps, but that’s just a short distance. I arrived around 3.40pm and closing time was at 4.00 pm, but the lady boss was very courteous and welcoming. The shop was modern, spacious and clean, but with a touch of the good old times in their aged classic kopitiam crockery.
I ordered the kopi ais, kaya butter toast and half-boiled eggs. Kopi ais was kaw the way I like it. The toast was a perfect shade of golden and just disintegrated with a crispy light texture with each bite. It was slathered with a generous amount of kaya and had relatively large slices of butter. The kampung eggs were very fresh and cooked perfectly. I don’t give ratings, but if I did, they deserve a 10/10. I’ll be back.
