Duck Rice, Street Food, Non-Halal
Chiefeater Luke Soon was over at Yew Kee Duck Rice Upper Thomson for a taste of consistency in their duck rice and other side dishes
Fish Ball Noodles, Street Food, Non-Halal
This is the traditional fish ball noodles from Lai Yuan Gourmet at SGD4.80. I must be getting old cuz I am beginning to like noodles in clear broth in the morning and this relatively new stall is fast gaining popularity among the locals here.
Singaporeans love their fish balls and mee pok. Today I opted for mee kia, the finer version of mee pok. Garnished generously with chopped coriander, red chilly padi and a good shake of powdered pepper, this is a delightful light breakfast.
You can choose to add on liver, sliced pork, minced pork , fish cakes n fish balls for an additional SGD1 but I resisted (with some difficulty).
