A viennoiserie is a bakery that serves pastries made in the Viennese style. These would usually be layered flaky pastries and a croissant is considered a viennoiserie style of pastry. Noon Viennoiserie joins the list of cafes that have opened up at Taman Rasa Sayang. It is one of the earliest opening cafes (they open at 7:30 am) in PJ which makes it a good place to have a breakfast if you are an early riser.
We had a Noon Breakfast at 930 am. The name ensures that lame jokes will arise from it. And with Undisclosed Location nearby, I am sure there will be attempts to put them together.
The Breakfast (RM28.90 nett) comes with a serving of scrambled eggs on top of a brioche toast, beef brisket, turkey roll, 2 pieces of hash browns, baked beans, grilled cherry tomatoes and sautéed mushrooms. And a big dollop of butter. The portion was generous (it is for me, it might not be for some of you) and the eggs were scrambled with a good degree of wetness, which is the way I like it. The brioche bread was dense yet fluffy and that dollop of butter just made it better.
I had a flat white at Noon Viennoiserie, which tasted like a milk coffee at Starbucks. Overly sweet even without any sugar added. Suffice to say, I didn't finish it. But if you like your coffee this way, this could be your alternative to Starbucks.
Get off at the Kelana Jaya LRT station.
