Chiefeater Chee Leong caught up with a friend for lunch at The Food Court Kinrara and he found the Buttermilk Chicken Rice to be good
Japanese, Non-Halal
I must say the most unique and delicious yu sheng I've tried this year has to be the one from fine dining Japanese restaurant Oumi. While most yu sheng only had 1 type of sashimi, theirs had 4! The sauces were also done Japanese style and because the sashimi was so abundant, no matter how many times you picked at your yu sheng, every round was so full of sashimi on your chopsticks.
Sashimi
Salmon | Yellowtail | Scallop | Jelly Fish
Vegetables & Fruit
Beetroot | Carrot | Daikon White Radish |
Grapefruit | Green Radish
Sauce
House-made Japanese Plum Sauce
1. Gold Tobiko – 年年有余
(Abundance year after year)
2. Orange Tobiko – 大吉大利
(Good fortune)
3. Wasabi Tobiko – 招财进宝
(Attract treasure and wealth)
4. Black Tobiko – 财源广进
(Wealth flows in)
5. Sesame Seeds – 生意兴隆
(Prosperous business)
6. Ginger – 安康吉祥
(Safe, healthy, and auspicious)
7. Hazelnut – 金银满屋 (Wealth)
8. Pok Chui – 遍地黄金
(Prosperity)
9. Lime – 情深意长
(Deep Affection and Enduring Love)
10. Yuzu Kombu
If you want to try something different from the usual Chinese style yu sheng, I highly recommend this place!
