Lobak, Pork-Free
After lunch, I was hankering for a good cup of local kopi and popped over to Pulau Tikus Market Megah Rise for one of my favourite cup of kopi. Why I like it is not only because the kopi is aromatic and not overly sweet but because they provide rusks to dip into the kopi.
While I was there, Chiefeater Russ King Karl who is also the outlet manager, asked me to give their lobak (RM4.50 a piece) a try. It came with his personal recommendation that they have gotten the taste for their chicken based lobak right. I decided to give it a try and I was not disappointed. They managed to capture the full flavoured taste that is expected of a lobak, using chicken meat to achieve the result. The texture might be a bit softer but the taste is there. Well done, guys!
