Hidden Siam Thai Food is So Good

Chiefeater Hedges Liang managed to track down a Thai stall he liked to their new base of operations at the Hidden Siam Thai Food

Chinese, Non-Halal
We were looking for a place where we could have dinner at about RM35 per person. Someone suggested a Chinese dinner and the first place that came to my mind was Restoran Mooi Jie Kitchen. They had started as a side stall and eventually moved into their own premises. Their prices had been affordable and their food good.
There were 8 of us and we ordered 6 dishes. A Lala Soup, a Steamed Tilapia (which came up to about RM90), a nam-yu friedpork rib, a Thai styled chicken, a stir fried vegetable, and a tofu dish.

While all the dishes were tasty, there were some that stood out. The lala was fresh, the soup had a nice gingerish edge and was a joy to eat. The fish was steamed with lime, well cooked and well seasoned making it a very appetising dish that everyone enjoyed.

All in the bill came up to RM288 for 8 which just slightly passed the RM35 per pax mark. It may have exceeded the budget by RM1 per pax but I think it’s safe to say that everyone did not mind that.
