Braised Pork, Roast Duck, Non-Halal
It’s been quite some time since our last visit to Restoran Soon Lok Bandar Puteri Puchong especially since they relocated from Puteri 5 to Puteri 2. We decided to drop by and pick up some takeaway for dinner. We ordered half a roast duck, poached chicken, and upon the waitress’s suggestion, braised pork with peanuts.

As we drove home, the rich aroma of the charcoal-roasted duck filled the car, building our anticipation for a delicious meal. However, when we finally sat down to eat, the taste of the duck was surprisingly muted compared to its enticing smell. The poached chicken, although it had a good texture, also lacked the flavour we were expecting.

Interestingly, it was the braised pork with peanuts that stood out the most. The pork was tender and full of flavour, with the peanuts adding a nice contrasting texture. This dish was the highlight of our meal and provided the most satisfying taste experience. Thank goodness for the recommendation.
