Very happy to be able to go for economy beehoon at Mee Ekonomi Ah Kiat which bears childhood memories for me. My grandma sells economy fried beehoon in Penang when I was young and I had it daily. Till now I still crave for it. I went to my uncle’s stall in Port klang for it. I added curry gravy, sweet sauce and sambal to the beehoon. It made it taste heavenly.
We also has red bean soup, which is our family comfort food also. Had to travel so far to solve my cravings as nowhere can I find a taste so near to what i ate daily As a child.
On top of it we had lala chien from a stall nearby.
