Fish & Chips, Street Food, Pork-Free
Saw this much viral stall, SOODAAP Fish & Chips at Sg Tangkas Kajang twice thus drop by to try for lunch. The owner chef spent some years in Ireland and on return started this take away Dublin Fish and Chips stall based on Ireland recipe but uses soda water instead beer in the flour.

He cheerfully interacted with me about his take away business which he started 6 weeks ago for the fun of it. Looking at the constant Q one is encouraged to brave the hot sun waiting in line to have a try of it. Dory fish imported from Vietnam is use. When asked he said tilapia flesh is too hard for fish and chips unlike Dory with its fluffy flesh.

Am impressed that per order come with 3 pieces of good size fish fillets. RM13.90 per order includes fries, salad, tartar & chilli sauce and slide of lemon, very cheap price to pay for a fish and chips set.

He emphasised few times to eat when it is still hot. The fish is fresh & chunky and goes well with the tartar source although the batter is slightly salty perhaps to cater to the local taste bud. Indeed taste good when it is hot. The fries are good and would prefer sprinkles of salt to it.

We enjoyed it and plan to return for more and also to try out the chicken chop at only RM12.90.
So anyone especially from Kajang or Bangi who yearn for a good authentic and affordable fish and chips should drive there to check Soodaap Fish & Chips out.
