Hotpot, Non-Halal
Dinner for four at Starry Sky Marina Hotpot was a hearty and satisfying experience, though in hindsight, the set for four turned out to be a bit much—ordering for three would have sufficed. We opted for two soup bases: a rich pork broth and a tangy tomato broth. Both delivered on flavour, but what really stood out was the freshness of the ingredients, especially the prawns.
Since no one else at the table was able to have them, I had the pleasure of indulging in every single one.
The restaurant has private rooms available, and some even come equipped with karaoke. Unfortunately, we were within earshot of one of those rooms, so we got treated to a bit of live music—though I wouldn’t exactly call it a treat. If you've ever experienced an overzealous karaoke session, you’ll know exactly what I mean. Despite the uninvited soundtrack, the food made up for it, and we all left feeling rather full and satisfied. The total price for our dinner came up to RM197.50
