TIEN by PUTIEN serves authentic pork-free Fujian cuisine. Yes, without pork and is first of its kind by PUTIEN. PUTIEN was founded in year 2000 and has since flourished into a renowned gastronomic destination with over 90 outlets across Asia. Their authentic flavours and gracious service has even garnered One MICHELIN star in Singapore over the years.
TIEN by PUTIEN was born, to share delights to the world, serving pork-free dishes with a twist.
As it is customary for Putien people to serve their guests the very best, every creation at TIEN is quintessentially unpretentious, pure and simple. Each ingredient and delicacy is exceptional in quality and freshness.
Yesterday, I got to savour some of TIEN by PUTIEN's dishes.
We started off with the starter's platter consisting of a classic, four well-loved "pembuka selera" of sotong, seaweed, tofu and bamboo shoot with a burst of flavours in our mouth.
Next, we tried the TIEN's Red Mushroom Lor Mee, a bowl of silky smooth noodles flavoured with 14 fresh ingredients in a rich milky stock. I love how soft the noodles are and easy to digest even after a full meal.
These bite-sized crispy yam pieces are delectable to eat and is very addictive. Glazed with honey, the crispiness and sweetness is a match made in heaven.
Next, we tried the Stewed Yellow Croaker in Tomato Sauce. The fish is very fresh and the flavour of the tomato is well paired in this dish. Stewed Yellow Croaker in Sauerkraut is also very appetizing with fresh fish meat.
TIEN sweet and sour chicken with Lychee is my all-time favourite dish for the day. Having been to PUTIEN several times, I enjoyed their pork version. Since TIEN by PUTIEN is pork-free, they made this dish with chicken. And the best part is I could not really tell it's chicken!
The consistency of this dish is well maintained at TIEN. I love the texture of the outer layer of the chicken, crispy. Drenched in an appetizing sweet and sour sauce and lychee, I can now enjoy this dish full-heartedly at TIEN.
And finally, we were presented with this beautiful-looking dessert with a combination of fresh fruits like watermelon, dragon fruit and chia seeds that is appetizing.
