Lately fried rice is getting very popular because of FUIYOH! Yesterday I saw a video on Facebook comparing Uncle Roger’s with Uncle Soon Fried Rice wok hei. Some of the subjects liked Uncle Soon’s. This evening my wife and I were looking for food at Taman Shamelin and coincidentally we came across this stall at New Soon Soon Lai Kopitiam.

So we decided to try. There were 2 cooks, both were also foreigners. In spite of the words WOK HEI printed on the cloth bunting in front of the stall, the 2 plates of fried rice were damn cold. The rice was hard. My wife’s fried rice is anytime better. What a wasted meal!
