Tea, Bao, Pork-Free
In life some unexpected discoveries turn out to be duds and some turn out to be gems. Cha Inn Tea falls under the latter. This little feted culinary sanctuary beckons patrons to explore a menu that marries traditional flavours with innovative twists, offering a haven for tea enthusiasts and gastronomes alike.
Cha Inn presents an intriguing array of tea concoctions. I went with the Pu-Er Coco (RM11+) which turned out to be a refreshing revelation. The perfect fusion of chocolate and Pu-Er tea creates a harmonious blend, surprisingly soothing the palate with each sip.

Interesting tea options
The blend of Chinese and western cuisine came to the fore with the Mala Spicy Chicken Bao (RM21.80+). This innovative creation takes the concept of a KFC zinger burger to new heights, encapsulating the fiery allure of mala within the comforting embrace of a steamed bao.
The steamed bao, slightly deviating from the norm, boasted a slightly firmer texture that was just perfect for me. This departure from the usual softness added a layer of complexity, elevating the entire experience. You can have the option of a fried burger bun too but I think the bao is a more interesting option.
The fried spicy mala chicken while tender, was a bold exploration of flavours. It harmonized the crispiness of fried chicken with the numbing heat of mala with julienned cucumber and an even a slice of lotus root, creating a symphony of sensations that danced on the palate.
Cha Inn is not merely a tearoom; it's an odyssey of flavours. It's definitely worth a revisit. They have lunch set priced at RM15.80+ for their pasta options but I am glad I did not go for that.
