At Little Saigon restaurant, lintang slim (off jln perak). wonder if this is the same on as the one at melaka st? i know people had been saying the food there is very good but i haven’t been there before. guess different but they only use same name? this restaurant was opened about one or two months ago i think (in sep 2023). all the staff there are vietnamese (3 ladies, 4 men) i think, except one…. looks like all of them is one family.

the menu has only vietnamese and mandarin language in it thus i need one of the staff to translate for me. luckily one of them can speak hokkien (all staff are Vietnamese).
i was recommend to try this dish as they said it is their new latest dish. didn’t know the name of the dish too but after eating i asked the cook and she wrote down for me. the restaurant also sells lots of vietnamese foodstuff especially instant noodles as you can see from one of the pictures here. there is also a shelf that has sauces on sale,

the bun cha chau duc came in a large bowl – big serving! the fish tasted good but i notice not much and some have tiny bones in it (so be careful!). prawns were fresh and good but difficult to eat with all shell in. there were some very small pcs of siew bak (roasted pork) and 1 piece of pork with bones (pork knuckle?). what i like most is the soup (or broth as some prefer to call it)! super delicious. so flavourful… not sure what stock they used but on googling for the dish i read the broth was slow-cooked from fish bones. oh and the whole dish was very spicy (as i see lots of cut red chillies inside)

i saw on the menu 'royal green tea' so order it. surprised when this came - because it is with lemon. didn't expect lemon green tea. anyway it was delicious. RM5.00.
