Peppery Thai Bistro Siam Paragon Dinner
Thai, Non-Halal
Chiefeater Patrick Sato Lee enjoyed a very yummy dinner at Peppery Thai Bistro Siam Paragon
Hong Kong Chee Cheong Fun, Street Food, Non-Halal
At Restaurant King Puchong. "吃鸭吃鸭, 越来越发", the rhythmic and poetic phrase written on the wall of the restaurant translate directly to "eat duck eat duck, more and more prosperous".
The restaurant is a wooden house, converted into a restaurant, with an air-cond dinning section. Their speciality is the Hong Kong-styled steamed rice roll noodles, chee cheong fun.
The chee cheong fun is freshly made to order, with numerous fillings available, ranging from char siew, prawns, eggs, vegetables and roasted duck, and drenched with a light slightly sweetish and aromatic soya sauce. The chee cheong fun is slurpy smooth, with generous fresh filling. Paired with the sambal, it was deliciously good.
The roasted duck has a crispy skin, and flavourful, moist and tender meat.
The caramelised char siew is the melt-in-the-mouth type, with a nice balanced of fat and lean meat portion.
The peanut scallop porridge and fried prawns fritters was ordinary.
There are many other food options available, ranging from dim sum, roasted pork, double boiled soup and others. Service was prompt, parking was quite limited and price was reasonable.
