Ru Ji Kitchen Fish Ball Mee
Fish Ball Noodles, Street Food
The fish balls at Ru Ji Kitchen may be inconsistently shaped but Chiefeater Luke Soon found that there is bouncy delight in this asymmetry

Nasi Lemak, Sarawak Laksa, Pork-Free
Hai Siang Kopitiam has been operating in Puchong for many years. Definitely since I moved there. Their FB page states they have been open since 2006. It is heartening to note that their resilience.
Their signature dish that people swear by here are the Sarawak Laksa and also the Nasi Lemak. The Nasi Lemak was wonderfully fragrant and firm. The way I like my Nasi Lemak to be. We ordered two variants of the Nasi Lemak. One with Rendang Chicken and one more with the Curry Chicken. The chicken were well seasoned, making the Nasi Lemak here one of the better ones in Puchong. Both the Nasi Lemaks were priced at RM13.90 per plate.

Yes you don’t actually see the chicken in this bowl but it is there.

I didn’t title this article Hai Siang Kopitiam Sarawak Laksa because I honestly don’t have enough chops to review it. Not enough chops because I have not eaten enough it. It’s like asking someone from KL to review Penang Char Kuey Teow. So all I have is a picture of it to present what it looks like. And to say that I did like the taste of it. The broth had seeped into the noodles making it tasty even when eaten by itself. I would say the serving was a bit small but at RM11.90, I did not have much to complain about.

Prices are nett.
