Long Beach Dempsey is still as good. The only crab cooking style that’s able to top/challenge Malaysia = white pepper crab. All other cooking styles (to me) = Malaysia leads.

Especially Lai Yao Butter , chilli crab (better in Malaysia). And the type of crab – mud crab vs dungeness vs Alaskan King vs Alaskan Princess really makes a difference. I feel Dungeness is the best variant for white pepper cooking style albeit 2X more expensive The Alaskans are good for soup style. Stews.

The claypot fish was superb. Still superb. We replaced the tungsingpan (leopard grouper) with a normal grouper. Value for money.
