Kopi, Pork-Free
I first heard about Madam Kok when I heard about their opening in IOI City Mall last year. So when I saw that their original outlet was actually near where I was, I decided to have lunch there. While they attract some diners for their pork-free dim sum, they have a complementary Thai menu with the Mama Thai menu.

Lunch was a satisfying affair with their Nasi Goreng Pattaya. The portion was quite generous—so much so that I couldn’t even finish it. The fried rice was wrapped in a neat omelette, and though the flavours were decent, it didn’t stand out as anything extraordinary. The accompanying fried chicken was flavourful, though the texture leaned towards the tougher side, which took away from the overall enjoyment a bit.

But the highlight of the meal, without a doubt, was their signature Kopi. Rich, aromatic, and full-bodied, it was the kind of coffee that could easily become the reason I’d return. Madam Kok may serve up a solid plate of food, but it's their Kopi that would make me come back.
