Venturing into Mellow Wine, the sibling establishment of Superfine, promises an experience centered around organic and boutique wines. While a modest menu accompanies their curated wine selection, this does not disadvantage the experience here in any way.
Our dinner commenced with a cheese and cold cut platter to pair with the red we had ordered. The red was a bottle of Le P'tit Barriot Syrah (RM194++) This was one of the bottles that they had for tasting and we liked it compared to the other option.
The platter showcased a selection of cheeses and cold cuts, providing a delightful prelude to the main courses.
Our mains consisted of the sole, a grilled Iberico, and a grilled Angus. Each dish brought its own unique flavour profile to the table, contributing to a well-rounded dining experience. However, the sole, positioned between the bold flavors of the cold cuts and the grilled pork and beef, seemed to pale in comparison and leaned towards the bland side.
Mellow Wine succeeds in creating a cozy yet sophisticated ambiance, providing patrons a relaxing place to wind down the day.
