The Pagar, more popularly known as K-town of Singapore, has you covered for bbq meats. But little did we know that nestled amongst the restored shophouses boasting a sophisticated atmosphere - was Primal Cut.
Several colleagues decided to try it out and it turned out to be a disappointment. While the overall ambiance of the steakhouse was inviting and elegant, the meats were overdone. We ordered the SGD55 strip loins medium rare but those came out well done at best.
The sides- grilled octopus and cauliflower were ok at 6/10.
Grilled Octopus
Cauliflower
Pay a little more and get a superior dining experience at Tomahawk, if you’re looking for a steak meal (lunch sets). The closest comparison would be Dans Steaks at Serangoon- and that’s better (averaging 6.5/10).
Overall Primal Cut is a pleasant lunch spot at Tanjong Pagar.
