Fusion, Pork-Free
My first meal in Ipoh was at Sedap Cafe Ipoh, a place known for its unique Thai and local fusion cuisine. The atmosphere was inviting, and I was impressed with how attentive and quick the service was from the get-go. For dinner, we ordered the Tomyam Fried Chicken, a Seafood Combo Platter with lime sauce, and a side of vegetables.
The Seafood Combo Platter, served with a zesty lime sauce, was also quite good. The lime’s tanginess enhanced the freshness of the seafood, making it an appetising and light option that balanced the richness of the chicken dish.
Two vegetable dishes.
The best dish of the night had to be the Tomyam Fried Chicken. The crispy exterior paired with the subtle heat of tomyam seasoning gave it a perfect blend of flavours, making each bite enjoyable.
We ended our meal with a bowl of cendol, with an appearance that wasn’t expected.
To top it off, the cham — a mix of coffee and tea — was decent, rounding out my meal meal at Sedap Cafe Ipoh.
