Wang Bu Liao Puchong is a place I usually order items from via food delivery. However, I was dining in at their outlet on this occasion.
Since Char Kuey Teow is a dish that doesn’t travel well, I ordered that. The Penang CKT (RM13.90) here came with prawns, lap cheong, egg, and bean sprouts — most of the essentials were present, but the flavour felt somewhat flat. The absence of pork lard made a noticeable difference, leaving the wok hei lacking depth. Still, it was competently fried, with the noodles cooked to the right springy-soft balance.
On the brighter side, the white coffee was smooth and aromatic, leaning towards the creamy, balanced style that pairs well with fried noodles. I left home with a pack of their instant white coffee (RM22).
I think I will stick to their other items like their curry mee or popiah or even lobak next time.
