Thai, Non-Halal
There are lots of Thai restaurants in New York, with few standing out: Zoob Zib Thai Authentic Noodle Bar is one of them. We went few times and it was always packed. What makes this place special: simply good food, from the classic pad see ew to the chicken massaman curry (this is a sort of test dish for me - if they do not make a good massaman curry, this is a bad sign). But there are two things people should try there: their roasted duck and their noodles.
Foraging for food around the neighborhood - we went to visit Chiefeater Susan’s local Thai joint. Yes it’s local - everyone’s Thai. When we ordered the server asked if we wanted it Thai level spicy.
We got the roasted pork, duck and Nam Tok (boat) noodles. All were solid and dependable 6/10s.
Wonderful meal slurping hot soupy noodles in the start of winter. There are a lot of good Thai options in this megacity but Zoob Zib Thai Authentic Noodle Bar can stand on its own in this hood.
