Poke Bowl, Set Lunch, Non-Halal
I remember having gone to the original Cincin in Cheras some years ago. We were looking for a place to eat in Megah Rise and that's where I found out that there's Cincin Megah Rise. They seemed to have decent set lunch options so we decided to eat there.
I had the Hainanese chicken chop. What else would I have? I should have not ordered it. The chicken looked big from the top until you look at it from the side. It was really thin. It looked liked it had been cut for aerodynamic efficiency. The sauce was too tomato-ish for my liking. I like the sauce to have a bit more flavours in it rather than just being sweetish. But if this suits your style, then go for it.
Jen ordered the Luncheon Meat Poke Bowl. This was a great order. The rice was steeped in lard and the luncheon meat was surprisingly tasty and not dry, even though it had been fried. Tasty, flavourful and juicy. Why couldn't the chicken chop be more like this?
Cincin Megah Rise has a good selection of other porky stuff and wine. Perhaps a place to revisit some time in the future, though I hold the absence of Guinness against them.
