Healy Mac’s Bukit Jalil is well-known as a place to enjoy a good beer, but it’s also a spot for some tasty food like their Guinness Beef Pie. Today, I decided to try their Cubano, a sandwich known for its flavourful filling and satisfying combination of ingredients.
The pulled pork filling inside the Cubano did not disappoint. It was spicy and flavourful. The meat was well-seasoned, and the other ingredients complemented it perfectly. However, the sandwich was slightly let down by the hardness of the bread. A key aspect of a great Cubano is the bread—it should be soft enough to bite into easily yet sturdy enough to hold the filling. In this case, the bread was a bit too hard, detracting from the overall enjoyment of the sandwich.
Since they serve Guinness, I have nothing to complain about their choice of beers available here. I had a Kilkenny to go with Cubano.
