Chiefeater Sam Lim found respite from the usual Orchard bustle with this quiet pause at the Tea Room by Ki-Setsu

Coffee, Pork-Free
When in search of a quaint coffee shop with an artisan feel, Jiak Kopi is the place to be. a simple family owned spot with the most friendliest owners you would come across. The Iced Coffee made with a homemade local coffee blend simply hits the spot in a subtle way you won't expect from a local traditional coffee. chilled & soothing if you walked in from the heat of the sun.
A signature drink would be their take on the classic Cham. As for food, what do you get when you marry fluffy coconut rice with a feisty sambal with a kick? You get the Jiak Kopi Nasi Lemak.
Pair that with a hot Teh Halia and you are in gastronomical heaven. They also have home made Kuih Seri Muka that is no so sweet yet sits perfectly well with each bite. I was told that its a family recipe.
Among the usual suspects in a Kopitiam menu, i came across something unique; The Roti Kopi. A simple toast bread spread with condensed milk and topped with sprinkles of coffee powder. After a bite, i felt like a kid again.. This was the highlight of my visit and the first I have come across such a tasty bite.
You can have all these sitting around antique pots, old wooden cupboards, classic kettles and radios and other items that take you back down memory lane. The taste, the friendly chats and most of all the ambiance brings together a feel of home as if you were enjoying tea time at your grandma's house. Head on down to Jiak Kopi at GMBB (GM Bukit Bintang Mall)
