Breakfast, Pork-Free
It had been a long time since I last visited Provisions DJ, but a recent meeting brought me back. I ordered the Eggs on Toast (RM19), and I was pleasantly surprised by the generous serving. I can’t remember if it was this big before. Two substantial pieces of sourdough toast were piled high with scrambled eggs that had the perfect fluffy texture. The eggs were light, airy, and buttery, a comforting indulgence for breakfast. Right on top of the eggs is dollop of tomato jam which provides a sweet contrast to the rest of the dish.

The coffee of the day (RM13) was a Colombian blend, which I found delightful. Colombian coffee is often characterised by its bright acidity and fruity notes, and this one lived up to that reputation. It had a rich, balanced flavour with a hint of sweetness, making it an ideal companion to the hearty eggs on toast. Provisions DJ remains one of my favourite breakfast stops.
