Finally, my favourite melt in the mouth char siew has reappeared at Hou Wan Loi Kopitiam at Pandan Perdana (Jan 2025). The young chap manning the chicken rice stall was formerly with the ex-chicken rice stall at Uncle Meng Kopitiam at Taman Shamelin. He assisted his god father in bbqing char siew and siew yuk then. Now he has set up his own business at this kopitiam after his former mentors retired. The taste of his char siew is comparable to his mentor’s. He recognised me.
