Chiefeater Luke Soon revisited Vui's Fried Rice stall at Restoran Kam Heong and found that they have added CKT to their offering

Chinese, Street Food, Non-Halal
“I am not a glutton. I am an explorer of food.” Today’s lunch at a well known roadside stall at Old Klang Road, the original Restoran Meng Kee OKR. We had their signature soya sauce steamed soong fish head (Big Head Carp/清蒸松鱼头), steamed lala, dry curry pork ribs, claypot braised pork trotter, signature fried bean curb and stir sweet potato leaves.

The signature soya steam soong fish head was delicious, the fish head was fresh and firm, the soya sauce was slightly sweetish, savoury and with a whim of Chinese wine and aromatic sesame oil. It was perfectly steamed, topped with a generous amount of chopped garlic and ginger, and decorated with a sprinkle of chopped parsley. Taste was heavenly.

Steamed lala was fresh and sweet, with soya sauce and also a whim of Chinese wine.

Claypot braised pork trotter was tender, and comes in a dark coloured thick sauce, taste fully enhanced by the five-spice powder and oyster sauce.

The dry curry pork ribs in thick curry was flavourful and aromatic. Generous spices used in the dry curry was clearly evident in the taste.

Deep fry signature bean curbs and stir fry sweet potato leaves was normal, nothing to shout about.

Restaurant is non-air cond, located along busy Old Klang Road, parking somewhat difficult. Service was prompt and very reasonably priced
