Chiefeater William WL Loo was at Lee Huat Cafe in Taman Green Lane to enjoy one of the better nasi lemak in town

Nasi Lemak, Pork-Free
Kopitiam Abang Adik Puchong, the latest addition to Bandar Puteri Puchong’s dining scene as of October 2024, delivers a solid kopitiam experience. I decided to try their Nasi Lemak with Beef Rendang, which turned out to be a satisfying choice. Jen instead went for a Wantan Mee with Curry Chicken.

The nasi lemak rice had a nice firmness, holding its texture well and pairing nicely with the tender, flavourful beef rendang. The rendang itself was well-executed, with the beef slow-cooked to that perfect, tender state that absorbs the rich, aromatic spices.

What really stood out was the inclusion of two types of sambal – one savoury and one sweet. I personally gravitate towards savoury sambals, and this one hit the mark with its balanced spiciness and depth, enhancing the overall dish. For those with a preference for a bit of sweetness in their sambal, the other option provides a nice contrast.

I liked Kopitiam Abang Adik’s thoughtful touches, making it a welcome new spot in Bandar Puteri Puchong.
