Pizza, Pork-Free
We had arrived early for an event at Bamboo Hills and we decided to get a drink and also try the pizza too.

The Pepperoni Pizza (RM50) at Pizza Duo in Tap Room, Bamboo Hills was big — a full 12-inch pie, baked fresh in their gleaming copper wood-fired oven. Unfortunately, size alone couldn’t make up for the experience.

While the pizza's crust was tasty, the combination of ingredients felt a little off. The sparing use of pepperoni, both in portion and thickness, made the pizza feel underwhelming. The addition of onions also distracted from what should have been a simple, bold, meaty flavour profile.

We paired the pizza with the Paper Kite Stout set (3 beers for RM69), which was decent and helped balance the meal somewhat. Still, for a place that looks this good, I had expected a bit more flavour and generosity from the food.
